Wedding Decorations

16th

It's Wednesday. Most of our guests have arrived in The Gambia!

We're planning an evening of drinks and celebration, where our guests (particularly those who have flown here) can get to know each other ahead of our wedding weekend. We'd love to see you there, but it's also totally optional.

17th

It's Thursday. You might be planning to wear an outfit using our selected fabrics (Asoebi), in which case, you may like to use this day for any last minute alterations. There are quick and reliable tailors all over town that we can recommend. Alternatively, you can spend the day like a top tier tourist - there are so many amazing things to do and see here. We've made some recommendations on this website.

In the evening, after dinner time, you're invited to a dance performance at Ozzy's mum's house. More details about this will be shared nearer to the time.

18th

It's Friday; the traditional wedding day at Ozzy's mother's house. Arrive at 4:30pm to witness the dowry, the tying of the knot and all the celebrations afterward. Food and drinks will be served, and you should bring your dancing shoes! We'll be kicking you all out around midnight. This is a booze-free day so please respect this tradition.

19th

It's Saturday! The ceremony is at 2pm and the lunch is at 3:30pm. There will be speeches and then dancing, then more food, drink and dancing in the evening.

20th

It's Sunday lunchtime and you're still sleeping - and so you should be! You've married us off in style, and your legs must ache as much as your head! We appreciate you.

21st

Monday will see us chilling out at Kasumai Beach Resort. They have food, cocktails, a pool and a peaceful part of the beach. We'd love to see you there, but no pressure! Again, refer to our recommendations page for excursions and sightseeing inspiration.

22nd

You may be flying back this day, but if not, enjoy the rest of your time on The Smiling Coast of Africa!
